Asus has announced its new Eee Pad Series slate-style tablet PC at the Computex 2010. At present Asus is going to release two new models which include the 12-inch Eee Pad EP121 and 10-inch Eee Pad EP101TC. The EP121 is a 12-inch slate PC which is powered by Intel’s CULV Core2Duo processor and comes preloaded with Windows 7 Home Premium. The slate tablet can serve as a multimedia player, e-book reader, compact PC and internet device. The device offer two convenient modes of character input- embedded virtual keyboard and a special docking station cum keyboard. The Tablet offers a battery life of about 10 hours.
The second tablet is similar to the above and boast 10-inch display screen and weighs just 675g. Not much technical specification details has been provided by the company, but we are expecting to come preloaded with Windows 7. The price of these tablet are expected to be priced between $399-$499.
